Due to its strategic location, the area was the battle scene of the historic wars. Frontline was across our village during World War 1. This war has left many scars: bunkers, mine craters, military cemeteries and war monuments. All this provides a unique identity to Heuvelland. Concerts, fairs, sports- and play activities give an added value to you holidays.
